The scorching summer is coming to an end, sun-kissed commuters are dragging their heels back into the city and Stanley Donwood has been torn from his Somerset studio for another outstanding solo exhibition at The Outsiders London. Far Away is Close at Hand in Images of Elsewhere showcases works from his recent top-selling illustrated book, Holloway, as well as brand new works featuring hidden country scenes in a more colourful palette. It has definitely not been a quiet year for Mr Donwood, with The Drawing Room accompanying Thom Yorke's Atoms For Peace gigs recently at Camden's Roundhouse, album artwork in constant flow, book signings and even Hollywood murals in production. We are feeling rather privileged to have him in residency at our sister gallery for a few weeks.
Far Away is Close at Hand in Images of Elsewhere opens on the 19th September at The Outsiders London and will be running until the 19th October.
