Stanley Donwood - The Eraser

Next Monday (10th July, in case your calendar's broken) sees the release of the Thom York album Eraser on XL Recordings.
As most of you know by now our very own Stanley Donwood created the artwork for the cover which was part of the London Views show we did here in May (check the news archives if you missed it.)
Prints and books from the show, including very limited screen prints of the cover are still available from the gallery .
Don’t wait till the album comes out on the 10th, there are very small numbers of the artwork left.

Nevermind the Artwork - Unseen Sex Pistols' Originals

I was invited to the Agnes B office the other day by a friend who, knowing that we like things on walls, asked me to bring my camera. When I walked in, scrawled over all the walls in their Denmark Sreet office was loads of graffiti from the Sex Pistols. They used to live upstairs and rehearse in the basement apparently and, driven to distraction by boredom and hatred, scribbled as much vitriol about themselves and each other as they could be bothered to.
It was then wallpapered over for 30 years until Agnes B bought the place and removed the paper to reveal one of the few decent documents of the band that still remain today and are worth seeing. Mostly because some trendy twit from NME hasn’t done a piece on it ... yet.
Thank you to Carla at Agnes B. Make sure you look out for the Beautiful Losers art tour sponsored by them which is supposed be coming to London very soon.

New Mixtape

Yes we have finally added a new mixtape. Tom Trago, mixtape master and DJ extraordinaire has put together a highly grown up collection of tunes with everything on there from Stan Getz to the beautiful La Nights by Yasuko Agawa ... "so if yer don't know, now yer know."
