Art Shares
In the early nineties the Japanese supported by its economy and rising property prices, took over the contemporary art market. This time, however, it is US collectors - including a generous sprinkling of hedge fund managers and property developers - and the newfound popularity of contemporary art which are pushing up US art prices. The prices have risen by 40 per cent this year, passing the high of 1990 along the way.
The price surge has been fuelled by contemporary art, where young British artists are strongly represented, and this has revitalised the UK market. However, the big contemporary art prices are paid mostly in the US, by US buyers.
If a group of individuals want to invest in art then Own Art will supply the group and or company with the necessary documentation to apply for an art grant. This helps keep contemporary British art in the country, keep the stock market buoyant and allows first time buyers of art to invest in serious work, forget race horses they'll die eventually, as will you, art however lives for ever.
Butta Verses ‘It Goes (Round And Round)’ Feat. Chocolate
In the oversaturated rap industry, a rapper's name is often the difference between getting a shot or being dismissed as wack off the top. Butta Verses, a Bronx-bred rapper who now calls Fort Lauderdale, Florida home, knows all too well how a name can affect how you're perceived.
Fortunately enough for Butta, his name was bestowed upon him based on his skills. It was as simple as walking down the block to hear Butta tell it, "One day I was just walking up to a cipher and one of the guys was just like, 'Here comes some butter verses', and it stuck."
Even with a hot name like Butta Verses and the skills to back it up, the rapper wasn't guaranteed success. But a little bit of luck and some hard work paid off when Maseo of De La Soul got his hands on one of the rapper's mix-tapes.
Maseo immediately signed Butta to his Bear Mountain label and took the rapper under his wing and into the De La Soul fold which was a dream come true for the rapper. Butta explained, "As a kid that's what I used to say to myself. If I could be in any crew I would be in Native Tongue with De La and Tribe."

The type of music: GRIME FOLK
The ultra mysterious Various Production crew have told us almost nothing about where they're from, what they're about or where they're heading. Rumour is that these guys are currently being chased by Warp, Planet Mu and Leaf, although closer inspection of their records will reveal a much more subtle and varied genius at work then any association with these labels might suggest.
