Friday 31st of January 2014 to Saturday 1st of March 2014
Featuring Sage Vaughn
Lazarides Rathbone is pleased to present our first solo show of 2014, Nobody's Home, by Californian artist Sage Vaughn. The artist's focus on wildlife is transformed into fresh settings, both material and metaphorical, featuring the signature birds and butterflies we have become accustomed to seeing in his work. Vaughn explores the physical and abstract associations of the phrase "nobody's home" through an examination of stale interiors and the vacancy with which society unquestioningly consumes objects and occasions of mass appeal. Nobody's Home challenges viewers to break free from routine acceptance of our domestic and public surroundings and drink in the vivacity the beauty of nature has to offer in this lifetime.
The exhibition runs from 31st January 2014 to 1st March 2014
